The information must be enough to encourage many nicotine-addicted individuals to stop smoking now. Consider these numbers: More than fifty percent of those that smoke will die from any of the smoking-related illnesses ranging from emphysema to lung cancer. In the United States alone, nearly one in five deaths is related to smoking while 8.6 million individuals suffer from lung and heart diseases directly linked to the smoking habit.

However, many individuals it’s still unable to stop smoking now despite these statistics in the wrong belief that smoking-related diseases and deaths happen to others, not to them. This is understandable in lots of ways since the person will not experience the serious health consequences until later in the smoking habit’s duration. Stop Smoking Now Or Else Face The Medical Problem

So, what exactly are the medical effects that can be experienced when an individual doesn’t quit smoking now? Read on and find out the reasons why anti-smoking sectors claim that smoking kills and kills most painfully in lots of ways over a lengthy period of time and, thus, their impassioned push to encourage people who smoke to stop smoking now.

Cancer

Conventional wisdom says that the unwillingness, inability and incapacity to stop smoking now lead to lung cancer. Statistics have pointed out that people who smoke have 10 to 20 times higher risks for acquiring lung cancer than non-smokers with the general rule being that the longer one smokes and the more cigarettes smokes per day, the higher the risks for said smokers.

However lung cancer isn’t the only cancer smokers are in greater risks of. Smoking can be another risk factor for cancers of the mouth, larynx, pharynx, esophagus, kidney, bladder, pancreas, cervix, stomach as well as certain forms of leukemia. Thus, when a smoker wants to decrease the risks for cancer, then it’s time for you to stop smoking now.

Lung Diseases

We can reasonably expect that since the lung area are directly affected by the harmful chemicals in cigarette smoke that the occurrence of lung diseases in smokers are higher. When an individual does not grab the necessary measure to stop smoking now regardless of the number of years the habit was acquired, the following lung diseases are in his future:

* Pneumonia is a bacterial infection that can kill in days. Smokers cannot recover quickly from the illness as their lungs are already affected by the cigarettes. * Chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases like emphysema and chronic bronchitis, either of which leads to on-going illness and disability.

Aside from lung diseases, smokers also have greater risks for cardiac arrest, strokes and cardiovascular diseases, all of which cause many aftereffects like paralysis. Indeed, if an person will not stop smoking now, the internal organs continues to suffer slowly but surely. The effects on health might not be experienced today but tomorrow will always ask for its just due.

Other effects of one’s refusal to stop smoking now are early skin ageing, gum and tooth problems, unhealthy fingernails and even blindness. Pregnant women have greater risks for either miscarriages or bearing babies with serious congenital physical diseases and mental disorders.

On a last note, one’s inability to stop smoking now results to years – 13.2 for males and 14.5 for females – of lost life in addition to a compromised quality of life.

Mental strength is as essential in the decision to quit smoking now as physical endurance is in the equation. Most smokers do not require too many words on the merits of taking the necessary action to quit smoking now. Many people use other ways to stop smoking such as adding up the amount of money they are spending to feed their addiction. stop smoking cigars

People that smoke are a lot more susceptible to coming down with some horrible diseases. Smoking can lead to lung cancer, heart problems, emphysema and even more. A lot of avid smokers are well aware of what their habit can do to them. However, they refuse to hear anyone speak about quitting smoking.

Many smokers are unaware of what substances are actually put into those small little cigarettes. Nicotine is one of the main ingredients found inside of one of the circular tubes. Studies have shown that nicotine is as addictive as heroin and cocaine. A person with a smoking problem is not only addicted to the substance in a physical sense, but they are also addicted to it in a mental and emotional sense as well.

One of the major drawbacks that smokers tend to complain about whenever someone mentions quitting to them is the withdrawal symptoms that accompany practicing this feat. Some of the common withdrawal symptoms that smokers experience are increased irritability, nausea, weight gain, fatigue and lack of concentration. These symptoms may seem severe to some people, but they can be dealt with.

Believe it or not, after you quit smoking there are some immediate changes that occur within your body. Twenty minutes after smoking your last cigarette your blood pressure levels will equal out and your heart functions will begin reacting in the way that they are supposed to. After you have not had a cigarette for 24 hours the amount of carbon monoxide that was once in your body will immediately leave it.

Smokers that have managed to stay off of cigarettes for one year will diminish their chances of coming down with deadly diseases. Also, if you happen to get sick medical personnel will be able to diagnose your case quickly.

Quitting smoking can be difficult to do. However, if you have the willpower and the desire to kick the habit it is possible to accomplish this difficult feat.

quitting smoking facts If you are serious about quitting, you can do it, you just have to set your mind to it. This presents an instant improvement in the body’s health and continues to get better with time. When smokers attempt to stop smoking, quitting smoking side effects will quickly manifest themselves.

Did you know November 18, is the date for the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout? You will never find a more advantageous time – or more assistance – for renouncing smoking. It is true this is only ONE DAY, but it is a beginning. This start can lead to a restored overall way of life.

Held once a year on the on the third Thursdays of November, the day was designed to underscore the dangers of smoking.

Additionally this day delivers a challenge to smokers to cease using tobacco.

Behind the festivities of the Great American Smokeout are the significant labors of thousands of hard-working American Cancer Society volunteers who call on schools, malls and workplaces to advertise the events and distribute information about relinquishing cigarettes and other forms of tobacco use. They also enlist nonsmokers to “adopt” smokers for the day, supporting them with assistance and snacks. The support continues for those who determine not to return to smoking after the Great American Smokeout is over.

Cigarettes encompass more than 4000 chemical compounds and at least 400 toxic ingredients.

Generally individuals recognize that smoking can instigate lung cancer, but it can also initiate many other cancers and disorders.

Most people know that smoking can cause lung cancer, but it can also cause many other cancers and illnesses.

Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death due to smoking.

Hardening of the arteries is a process that develops over years, when cholesterol and other fats deposit in the arteries, leaving them narrow, blocked or rigid. When the arteries narrow (atherosclerosis), blood clots are likely to form.Smoking accelerates the hardening and narrowing process in your arteries: it starts earlier and blood clots are two to four times more likely.

Cardiovasular disease can take many forms depending on which blood vessels are involved, and all of them are more common in people who smoke.

Coronary thrombosis*- development of a thrombus that blocks a coronary artery, commonly causes myocardial infarction and death. Coronary thromboses commonly develop in segments of arteries with atherosclerotic lesions.

Simply stated this is a blood clot in the arteries supplying the heart, which can lead to a heart attack. Around 30 per cent are caused by smoking.

Cerebral thrombosis*-A blockage of blood flow through a vessel in the brain by a blood clot that formed in the brain itself.: the vessels to the brain can become blocked, which can lead to collapse, stroke and paralysis.

Needless to say, cigarettes are harmful and we must get rid of them and avoid health problems later in life. Nevertheless, this is certainly easier said than actually doing it, as a lot of people are really reluctant to give them up, even nicotine gums usually do not often work for the majority of the people.

Hypnotism in order to quit smoking is one of the methods used nowadays to aid people who smoke in taking away this kind of habit. Nonetheless, since this is a somewhat unconventional process, many individuals have doubted its success, perhaps even think that it’s mere trickery.

Emile Coue, the master of the idea of autosuggestion, believes that putting thoughts directly into your mind over a regular basis can eventually make it develop into a reality. This is one way hypnotism works, and it is more intense because it deals straight with our subconscious, which as you probably understand, is a lot more powerful as compared to our conscious mind.Emile Coue, the leader of the idea of autosuggestion, believes that that putting thoughts into your mind on a permanent basis can eventually make it develop into a reality. This is one way hypnotism works, and it is more powerful because it deals directly with our subconscious, which as you most likely understand, is more powerful as compared to our conscious mind.

By using hypnotism for you to quit smoking, you’ll possess greater self-control since your subconscious is directing your behaviors consequently. Furthermore, the results are long-term. Since this is something that is already embedded in your subconscious mind, it will eventually entirely change the way you see smoking, replacing your perception about it for as long as necessary.

So, in reply to the issue, NO, it’s not hocus pocus. It truly is real, and it works better than some other approaches being used these days. Once you’ve eventually given up for good, you will escape from wasting your hard earned money on an expensive habit, your skin will look clearer, your breath will smell fresher, and more importantly, you will save yourself from suffering the consequences of cigarette smoke when you grow older.

Pulling on a cigarette is never a good thing. But if you know this and yet you cannot seem to get out of this habit, you might want to resort to hypnotism. It has worked effectively for numerous people over the years, and undoubtedly, it will work for you, too. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. You will realize later on that hypnotism to quit smoking will have been one of the best decisions you have ever made.

You may be tired to bones after trying to quit smoking by following many smoking cessation tactics available, including natural methods and nicotine replacement therapy. But there is no need to be disheartened. Now there is a glimmer of hope to you through hypnosis to quit smoking. Many erstwhile smokers would vouch for the fact that hypnotism helped actively in quitting their smoking habits effectively.

During hypnosis, the person is allowed to relax completely, all the while concentrating on a particular issued. Total relaxation of body and mind takes place while you are in the subconscious stage. At this particular situation, you will not be able to segregate between reality and fantasy. You can dream yourself to be anon-smoker and your subconscious mind takes it as a reality.

It is possible for anybody to undergo the process of hypnotism though it was earlier thought to be as something magical taking you under its control; it is a perfectly natural state of mind. At that condition, whatever you do will be done without your actual knowledge about it. The same thing happened when you enter the subconscious mind. Two different ways are there for undergoing hypnosis to quit smoking.

The first type is called self-hypnosis. Here, self-relaxation methods are used with mental images to make the process effective. It may take time to learn the process of self-hypnosis. The second type is done with the help of a professional hypnotherapist. He helps you to relax completely and suggests positive affirmations and mental images. Though most of the hypnotherapists finish it in one session, it can be done in multiple sessions also.

After the hypnotherapy sessions you will be given CDs containing positive suggestions regarding stopping smoking, which you can listen in the tranquility of your home. The affirmations become part of your sub conscious mind and slowly you are weaned away from the need of smoking. Thus hypnosis to quit smoking sessions will gently move your mind from its current addicted state to complete freedom from cigarettes. You are sure to remain a real non-smoker afterwards leading a healthy, energetic life.

Tip #1: Tell other people about your goal.

If you tell others when that you’re going to quit smoking, then you will stay committed to your goal more than not telling anyone. You want to make sure you are surrounded by positive people who will encourage you in a good way.

It’s not necessary to tell everyone as those with negative attitudes and a pessimistic outlook may actually hold you back. So, choose the people wisely in terms of who to tell when you quit smoking cigarettes.

Tip #2: Know exactly why you want to quit.

Spend some time thinking about the reason that you want to quit smoking. Obviously your health will be the main reason, but try going deeper and analyzing the core reason you want to stop smoking cigarettes.

Tip #3: Carry a water bottle.

Every time you have an urge to smoke, you need to find something to occupy your mind and body. Taking a big swig of water is enough for most people to get over than initial urge. So anytime you have a desire to smoke, then get that water bottle and drink some water. In the beginning, this may seem hard, but you will soon get used to it.

Tip #4: Hang out with non-smokers.

One of the biggest reasons people smoke is because they are surrounded by people who also smoke. You will feel more pressure not to smoke when you are with your non-smoking friends.

Tip #5: Your first target should be 21 days without smoking.

Studies have shown that people can establish a new habit if they do something for 21 days in a row. That means after you quit for 21 days in a row, it will be more natural for you not to smoke than it will be for you to smoke. Just realize that the earliest stage will be the most difficult; that is the most important part of the journey.

Repairing the lungs after quitting smoking is a great help to remaining quit. When you can actually feel your lungs becoming cleaner and stronger it’s a great incentive. I can speak personally about this because it helped me to stop smoking for good.

So what did I do to start the repair process? Well within the first few days of quitting I decided to try a lung detoxification or in short a lung detox. What this does is speed up the process of removing tar, toxins and chemicals from the lung tissue that have built up over the period of time that you have been smoking, and so speeds up the lung repair.

The lung detox was surprisingly easy to do but the effects were quite staggering so if you are thinking of doing it then prepare yourself for a shock. I expected to have some evidence that my body was getting rid all the gunge in my lungs but didn’t expect it to happen so quickly and, I hasten to add in such volume. It was a real eye opener to see just how much tar I had in my lungs after 12 years of smoking. It’s also a side effect to feel mildly sick but that passes after a day or two. What I wasn’t aware of that it can take anything up to 15 years for the body to break down the tar and toxins naturally. I don’t know about you but that is way too long for me to wait!

What it told me was that I was never going back to smoking again. There’s no point going through a lung detox only to start smoking again. In fact though, the strange thing is the thought of smoking actually made me feel ill. If I even smelled another smokers smoke this also made my stomach turn a little. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of these ex smokers who preaches to smokers to stop. I fully understand the powerful addiction and enjoyment involved with smoking, but I would personally never go back now that my lungs are repaired and healthy.

The strange thing is in the early stages of lung repair it’s very usual to get a cough for a few days This a quite normal and it is also a sign that the lungs a re beginning to repair themselves. The cause of the cough is simply the tiny microscopic hairs known as cilia starting to do their main job which is sweeping out toxins, dust and particles from within the lung tissue. So this is why the mucus that you cough up will be discolored. The other cells that are damaged by smoke are the alveoli and these can take longer to repair. In fact there are some specialist doctors who believe that the alveoli never regain the same level of health in an ex smoker as that of someone who has never smoked. What I will say is that I’m convinced tha a lung detox has helped me in my quest to quit smoking for good.

Smokers have more fun. This is a common accepted fact, which recently have been busted as a myth by British scientists. More than 70% of the 879 ex-smokers who were interviewed in the survey, answered that they were happier as ex-smokers.

Among 879 ex-smokers 69.3 percent answered that they are happier after their cessation. 26.6 percent felt that their mood was the same, and only 3.3 percent said that they were less happy than before.

The result is obvious: it is difficult to find ex-smokers who are sorry they quit smoking, while it is pretty easy to find the opposite: many smokers regret that they started to begin with.

There is a myth, that if you quit smoking, you might prolong your life, but at the same time you lose some quality of life. But the ex-smokers who have come through it the first time with withdrawal symptoms both have the cake and eat it too: they feel proud to be able to stop, feel free of dependence, has more energy and is meet with recognition for their achievement. They are, in short, on the winner of the team.

Focus on life quality rather than health

Shift the focus from all the harmful consequences of smoking to all the positive benefits of being a non-smoker is far more efficient, when trying to motivate people. It is not fear and pointing fingers that motivates people.

Instead, we are developing new methods in which we don’t to focus on diseases and health, but rather on the improved life quality, which freedom from smoke brings. The methods were developed from experiments with advice on smoking cessation for cancer patients. They were excited, partly because they felt that with a smoking cessation they themselves made a difference. Rather than being part of the problem, they were now part of the solution instead.

Better in time

The increased satisfaction is more pronounced, the longer the time that has passed since they stopped smoking. But even with ex-smokers, where the smoking stop was quite new, it was still the majority who feel happier now. Younger ex-smokers was more excited after their cessation than older people. However it did not matter whether they were heavy smokers or only smoked a few cigarettes a day.
