The internet has copious amounts of information about every subject area you could think of, even new methods to quit smoking. We all know when we are searching the net to not believe or trust everything we read, which can make it difficult for those who want to quit smoking but do not know whether the tips are coming from a reputable source. This article aims to introduce three effective methods to help people quit.

An effective method is exercise. This keeps you busy and takes your mind off of your cravings. And, it also makes you appreciate the importance of good health so it can be a very effective tool when trying to quit.

Next is water. We all know we are supposed to drink lots of water but we don’t, if you are looking for a simple easy method try drinking cold cups of water when you get a craving. This works in two ways, firstly by flushing out the toxins and you will feel the benefits and want to carry on.

A more pessimistic but increasingly popular method is hypnosis. Many people are sceptical about whether it actually works or whether people ‘think’ it does so they act in a certain way – either way it is having high numbers of positive results. This can be a great way to help you quit.

There are many methods around, try several and see which works for you. The methods mentioned are simple methods which can be a good place to start. Remember you do not have to limit yourself to just one, you can try them all at the same time!

The most important thing to bear in mind when quitting smoking is that not all methods will work for you. Do not be disheartened. Just find new methods to quit smoking to achieve your goals.

If you plan quit smoking, give your body has a chance to do a lung detox. Clean lungs will improve your health and stamina.
Do you want to understand how to quit heavy smoking? If you do not then you are potentially cutting your life expectancy dramatically as the consequences of smoking heavily each day can have an all too real effect on health. The chance of developing lung cancer and cardio vascular disease would be very high. Fortunately there are various techniques and strategies that can be used to break the habit once and for all. You may need to try out a selection before you have the outcome that you want.

Initially you will need the correct attitude as otherwise the chance of quitting smoking would be very slim. Only when you are certain that you have the necessary determination should you attempt to break the habit for good. It cannot be denied that nicotine is more addictive than heroin and other drugs, giving up cigarettes is never going to be easy.

Try cutting down the number of cigarettes you smoke each day gradually. For example if you usually consume twenty a day then bring it down to fifteen per day for a week, and then ten a day for the next, and so on. A gradual withdrawal would also help you to reduce the cravings that are felt.

Where are your cigarettes right now? If you want to break the habit then do not carry them around in your pocket, leave them in cupboard or drawer in your bedroom. Also when surfing the net or watching television do not have the cigarettes close at hand as you will end up smoking more.

Are you aware of nicotine replacement therapy? This is a method in which you replace cigarettes with nicotine gum, or electronic cigarettes, that can still give you nicotine but do not have any of the other nasty substances.

Never underestimate the amount of money you would save by stopping smoking. Keep the money that would normally have gone on your habit to one side and then treat yourself with this at the end of each week.

Information on how to clean out lungs fast and easy! When you want help quitting smoking for good!
It’s not fair is it? You make a huge effort to quit smoking and then within days, on top of all the cravings, the bad temper, the headaches and sore throat, you develop a hacking cough. It’s not surprising that we end up taking up smoking again after a week or so is it I mean, what’s the point in trying to quit smoking if this is what we can look forward to?

Well the good news is that your cough is actually a sign that your lungs are starting to repair themselves, so cheer up. What is actually happening is that the tiny hairlike structures called cilia within your lungs are beginning to gain function again. What they do is clean the lungs of particles and dust which gather naturally when you breath. Smoking, and tobacco in particular paralyses the Cilia, so allowing tar and toxins to build up in the lung tissue unchecked. It also explains why smokers are able to continue smoking even with a heavy cold.

This is very bad for the body because the lungs are responsible for transferring oxygen around to all the vital organs and cells via the bloodstream. If this process is blocked the it’s clearly going to have a negative effect on our well being and general health.

During the healing process the coughing should begin to lessen and after a month or so the Cilia should be fully functional again.

Within 6 months of first quitting smoking, you should start feeling real benefits and hopefully this will be a source of strength and encourage you to remain stopped. Once you start to see that your skin is improving and glowing, your hair is in much better condition and your energy levels have increased then you’ll know that you have made the right decision.

Repairing the lungs after quitting smoking is a great help to remaining quit. When you can actually feel your lungs becoming cleaner and stronger it’s a great incentive. I can speak personally about this because it helped me to stop smoking for good.

So what did I do to start the repair process? Well within the first few days of quitting I decided to try a lung detoxification or in short a lung detox. What this does is speed up the process of removing tar, toxins and chemicals from the lung tissue that have built up over the period of time that you have been smoking, and so speeds up the lung repair.

The lung detox was surprisingly easy to do but the effects were quite staggering so if you are thinking of doing it then prepare yourself for a shock. I expected to have some evidence that my body was getting rid all the gunge in my lungs but didn’t expect it to happen so quickly and, I hasten to add in such volume. It was a real eye opener to see just how much tar I had in my lungs after 12 years of smoking. It’s also a side effect to feel mildly sick but that passes after a day or two. What I wasn’t aware of that it can take anything up to 15 years for the body to break down the tar and toxins naturally. I don’t know about you but that is way too long for me to wait!

What it told me was that I was never going back to smoking again. There’s no point going through a lung detox only to start smoking again. In fact though, the strange thing is the thought of smoking actually made me feel ill. If I even smelled another smokers smoke this also made my stomach turn a little. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of these ex smokers who preaches to smokers to stop. I fully understand the powerful addiction and enjoyment involved with smoking, but I would personally never go back now that my lungs are repaired and healthy.

The strange thing is in the early stages of lung repair it’s very usual to get a cough for a few days This a quite normal and it is also a sign that the lungs a re beginning to repair themselves. The cause of the cough is simply the tiny microscopic hairs known as cilia starting to do their main job which is sweeping out toxins, dust and particles from within the lung tissue. So this is why the mucus that you cough up will be discolored. The other cells that are damaged by smoke are the alveoli and these can take longer to repair. In fact there are some specialist doctors who believe that the alveoli never regain the same level of health in an ex smoker as that of someone who has never smoked. What I will say is that I’m convinced tha a lung detox has helped me in my quest to quit smoking for good.

Removing tar and toxins from the lungs is a critical part of any smoker finally quitting smoking. In a sense it ends the relationship between the smoker and the cigarette and I suppose like any strong relationship smoking needs closure.

I found that until I had detoxed my lungs I was constantly battling with cravings and I just couldn’t seem to put an end to the lure of lighting up again. It went on for months and for me nothing would substitute it. I tried all the usual off the shelf products such as gum, patches even those crazy electronic cigarettes but nothing came even close.

It’s tough, because I know that millions of people manage to quit successfully using these types of products, but I’ve always been a tough nut to crack:)

I was so desperate to quit for my families sake. My wife had managed to quit when she was pregnant with my young daughter and had never started again. She didn’t exactly nag me but I could tell that she hoped I would quit. Then of course there was my beautiful young daughter who I looked at and I just knew that it was the right thing to do.

If I didn’t quit my 40 a day habit I might not be around to see her children, or worse I may just end up being ill and just a burden on her in years to come.

I think I have figured out why a lung detox helped me so much. If the toxins that form and perpetuate the habit of smoking are quickly removed from the body, then it stands to reason that the process of quitting smoking is going to be much easier.

Well it actually went even further than that. What I wasn’t expecting was the uplifting effect it had on my whole mental and physical self. Within days of beginning the program my lungs just felt less tight and the terrible cough that I had developed finally began to subside. The transformation was quite unbelievable.

There are some minor side effects that I was aware of and ready for but it was really only a mild feeling of sickness and a headache but I was so excited by the thought of cleaning out my lungs I just put up with it and would go through it again…not that I ever intend to start smoking again.

It’s such a simple thing but so powerful and me and my family are eternally grateful that I found it.
