The smokeless cigarette debate turned viral during August of '09 once the Food and Drug Administration publicized an investigation on smokefree cigarettes and their corresponding nicotine containing solution e-liquid identifying them as harmful since they contained chemical substances considered dangerous to humans. The e-cigarette camp fired back by hiring a renowned research firm to look at the FDA report and the methods utilized to attain their conclusions. This firm discovered the findings obtained by the FDA research was invalid since the testing approaches they utilized had been far from those necessary to produce these kind of definitive determinations.

FDA Turns Up Heat For E Smoke

The FDA has decided to appeal the verdict of the U.S. District Court who decided they have no authority over the sales of the e-cig. The District Court ruled that considering that the newest stop smoking device isn't considered a medical therapy, the Food & Drug Administration lacks the capacity to regulate and control them. The Food and Drug Administration takes issue concerning the Court's ruling despite the fact they concede the e-cigarette can actually be good for smokers wanting to give up smoking cigarettes in the same way methadone helps opiate addicts with their dependence.

FDA Study About Electronic Cigarette Dangers

Most of us have heard each side oft the debate about e-cigs. On one side, we have the advocates that feel they're harmless to use and also a highly effective device for quitting smoking. On the other side of this argument would be the opponents who suggest the e-cig is unsafe to the consumer and they are unsuccessful as a smoking cessation device. But as we all know, if there are two sides to a story, the reality is somewhere in the middle.
