You will have mood swings, and feel weak and nauseous. You will crave a cigarette very badly. You have to want to quit and you have to be serious about it. If you are only quitting to please someone else it is not going to work.

You have to quit because you want to if you expect it to work. When the cravings get too bad some people try chewing gum and sucking hard candy. You can also remind yourself that you are going to live longer because you are quitting. When the cravings become unbearable just keep reminding yourself that you are saving your life.

There are prescriptions that help control the withdrawals and cravings. The pills do not make them go away all together but they do help.
